Dirty Butterfly is a creative communications agency focused on brand-building through physical or virtual meetings between opinion leaders, brands and consumers. We do this through developing intellectual property – ideas, formats and concepts – such as Dirty Brunch, Blogger’s Wardrobe and Tête-à-Tête, but also for diverse and renowned clients.

In the world of social, marketing and building your brand can no longer be separated from anything else you do. Your brand is the public perception of everything you are, do and stand for. Everything communicates, and this is why we don’t believe in communication for the sake of communicating. We believe that doing great things for your target customers should be at the very core of your brand, and that this in turn makes for the best kind of communication. We call this concept Action-Based Communication, or ABC.

While we pride ourselves on not being tied to any specific form or channel of communication, a key concept within Action-Based Communication is the meeting between your brand and your target customers. To us, this can mean producing events and brand experiences as part of larger communications initiatives for our clients. Key in delivering superior brand experiences is to connect the right people to the right brand. We always prefer to reach the right 50 people as opposed to the wrong 50.000, where each of the 50 is a potential customer, fan, endorser or ambassador for your product, brand and company. If these 50 people are trendsetters, multipliers or cluster leaders within the target demographic, their actions will spread to much larger proportions of the population in an organic, authentic and credible way, like rings on water – or like a butterfly effect where small actions today produce far-reaching consequences tomorrow.Through our own channels such as Tête-à-Tête, social media channels of the client, and manual seeding through opinion leaders, bloggers and such, D<>B helps prolong and strengthen the effects of an event by creating buzz before, attracting the right crowd to, and seeding communication after the actual event.
